    Integrating ICT into Education n
    I. Introduction
The computers are there! If you come to Chea Sim Sonthormok High School, we have a computer Lab which is rarely used. Since lecturers have not designed their courses to use computers, most student can’t use computer and don’t have a basic skill in using technological tools. They don’t know at all how to use computer and apply technology to help them in learning and perform well in class. It means we have a lot to do in this area in order to help teacher and student adapt to new teaching environment involving ICT integration. We need to encourage lecturers to incorporate the use of computers in their delivery. However, the old traditional way of teaching has still dominated; even though the computers are there they are not put into use. For this reason, we group decide to choose this high school as our project aiming to apply ICT into administration, class room and teaching environment.
    A. Basic principle of ICT in Education
Since the advanced technology shrink the world to be a global and globalization has brought a lot of effect among countries, each country has to adopt, interact and implement their individualism to one another, such as culture, language, tradition, trading, economic, policy, technology, so and, and so forth. Consequently, free job markets require qualification candidates who are knowledgeable in skills, language and basic understanding of technology. In fact, technology provides convenient conception in doing some tasks and the variety of information can help users to make effective decision. For all these reason, the government has encouraged schools to integrate ITC in their teaching in order to achieve the specific goal in contributing effective and efficient education to students. Students are not only able to learn in school but also to learn from various sources which are available on the Internet. ICT help students access to education easily and extensively, strengthen the relevance of education to the increasingly digital workplace, raise educational quality to real life, motivating to keep learning, facilitate the acquisition of basic skills. II. ICT in School
    1. Problems facing:
    • There is no internet
    • Student and teacher are poor in English, so they can’t use computer and the Internet
    • Student and teacher don’t have general knowledge in using basic technology
    • Teachers are not willing to change to ICT because they think it is complicated, and it will take a lot time to learn.
    • There are not enough computer and technological devices to use
    • There are not enough energy to use for technology devices
    • There is no any computer specialist to teach how to use computers properly
    2. Policy: In school, we should apply technological tools and software to integrate the ICT in class room. Very often merely ICT was merged into school curriculum which mainly was a traditional education strongly based on teacher-center. Students totally depend on teacher who will arrange the curriculum, handouts, course outline, examination and sometimes study books. Those syllabic are not challenge enough to compete with foreign students who study worldwide education via ICTs Tools.
    3. Vision: The school will be able to change form teacher-center to student-center. Moreover, student will be able to use ICTs to improve their study and they will be qualified to compete with foreign students in finding career in local and foreign countries.
    4. Strategy: the school will encourage teacher to go training and apply ICTs in classroom. For students, they will have course to use computer, internet and free software through specific New Technology infrastructure and connectivity course outline in order to gain technological experience in using ICTs in their learning. Moreover, they might have special course to practice and use ICTs to apply in their main subject like math, physic…etc.
